It’s as easy as fried shrimp. All you need to do is sauté shrimp with a little salt and pepper, add rice and cook until done. If you make rice separately, you will have rice cooked in two to three minutes.

Shrimp & Rice

Pork, Eggs, Rice & More

Serves 4

For rice:

2 cups brown rice (rice cooked separately; it is best not to cook rice with shrimp)

2 cups fresh shrimp (stir-fry with salt and pepper), peeled and chopped

2 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon sugar

For pork:

1 package pork tenderloin (pan-sear the pork until it reaches your desired doneness)

1 medium carrot, diced

1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds

For eggs:

4 eggs, beaten

How to make shrimp & rice:

Sauté rice in cooking water for 4 minutes. Add shrimp, garlic, sugar and sesame oil.

Fry until golden brown.

Drain on a paper towel and set aside.

Set aside.

Heat sesame oil in skillet.

Saute onion, carrot and egg until soft.

Pour in cooked rice and cook for about 2 minutes.

Add pork to rice, pressing it down.

Heat for about 3 minutes.

Drizzle remaining sesame oil over the pork and stir.

If you like, serve with egg sauce on top.

How to make pork:

Serves 4


For pork:

1 pork tenderloin

4 tablespoons cold water

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Salt & Pepper

Heat oven to 350°F. Use pan-sear the pork (it will become pink in color and have some degree of doneness).

Drain on paper towel.

Place pork in a non-reactive baking dish.

Season with salt and pepper.

Put in oven and cook for 35 to 45 minutes or until the meat is cooked through.

How to make eggs:

For eggs:

4 eggs

1/2 cup fresh shrimp, peeled and chopped

1 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon garlic, peeled and chopped

Salt & Pepper

How to make eggs:

Bring the water, shrimp, sugar, garlic and salt to a boil.

Add eggs and cook for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat.

Remove the eggs from the pan and cover with foil.

Put them in the refrigerator to cool. Remove the egg from the pan.

Pour the egg into a shallow bowl.

Add shrimp and sugar mixture.

Stir gently.
